Notary in Dallas County, Texas

Dallas County includes the cities of Dallas, Irving and Garland. Here are the in-person notary options we could verify from official pages.

Dallas County Treasurer’s Office (low cost, not free)

The county’s “$10 per signature/stamp” is its own wording. The state schedule is $10 for the first signature and $1 for each additional signature on an acknowledgment (§406.024). Ask which applies if you have several signers.

Dallas Public Library (free)

Notary service is free during regular business hours at nine library locations, limited to 2 documents or 2 visits per person per month. Documents must be in English, availability varies by location, and the library asks you to call ahead. Locations and phone numbers are on our free notary page. Garland, Irving

See the Garland and Irving pages: neither city library offers notary service according to our checks.
