Free notary options in Dallas
These are the free (or no-fee) notary options we verified from each organization’s own page. Always call ahead: availability changes, and most limit documents or hours.

Bank of America: no fee at many financial centers
Bank of America says notary service is “available at no cost in many of our financial centers” and that it does not charge a fee for notary services. Schedule an appointment; typical appointments take about 30 minutes; bring all pages of the document and state-acceptable ID for every signer. A bank associate may or may not be able to act as a witness, so bring your own. Source: Bank of America: Notary Services, checked 2026-10-23.
Bank of America does not say on that page which Dallas-area financial centers have a notary or whether non-customers are served. Use the bank's locator and call ahead to confirm.
Low cost, not free
Dallas County Treasurer: $10 per signature/stamp, cash only, notary hours 2:00 to 4:00 PM weekdays. See Dallas County.
Not offering notary service (per their own pages)
Garland Public Library (FAQ), Arlington Public Library (FAQ), Frisco Public Library (library post, Sept. 2025). Irving Public Library’s services page lists no notary service.
AAA Texas: AAA's Texas member guide says notary service is generally available at all AAA Texas branches, Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Personal notarizations are free for members; business notarizations are $6 per signature for members, and non-members pay $6 per signature. Fees are subject to change, so call your branch ahead ([AAA Texas Member Guide](https://www.ace.aaa.com/content/dam/ace-assets/aaa-brand/membership/member-guides/TX-MemberGuide.pdf), verified: 2026-10-24).
Chase, Wells Fargo, credit unions, the Fort Worth and Plano public libraries, and other Dallas County offices do not publish a notary policy we could confirm on their own pages. If you bank or belong there, call ahead to confirm whether a notary is on site, the fee, and whether non-customers are served.
Cannot get to any of these? A mobile notary will come to you, or use an online notary.
